Congratulations to out eight TY students who took part in the DIT Architecture Department’s ‘Build a Bridge’ competition. The students had to build a bridge out of balsa wood. although the bridge weighed less than half a kilo it had to hold at least 3.6 kilos in weight. Three of the four bridges managed to meet and surpass this target. Thank you to John Lauder and all of the 1st year DIT students who offered their encouragement and support to the Brunner boys. Thank you also to
all in the DIT Access and Civic Engagement office for helping to organise our participation. Also, big thanks must go to Brunner’s own Mr. McMahon who helped the students with their design ideas and oversaw the project in the school.
