On Tuesday November 4 all of Transition Year visited Croke Park. The students were taken on a guided tour of the stadium which included the dressing rooms, corporate boxes and some students even got to sit in Suíochán an Uachtaráin! After lunch we all went on the Skyline tour. This involves walking along the roof of Croke Park and is not for the faint of hearted, even with the harnesses. The five lads that were too scared to go up shall remain nameless!
We were very lucky with the weather and many of the city’s landmarks could be easily seen including, the Spire, the Guinness factory and Glasnevin cemetery. both the students and teachers really enjoyed the day.
