Brunner Boys Win Guinness Scholarships

On the night of Monday, November 23rd 2009 St Paul’s CBS past pupils Ray Moran and Craig Trumble were presented with scholarships from Guinness Diageo. This was in recognition of their achievement in securing places in third level education. Ray is a first year student in Dublin City University where he is studying for a Degree in Genetics and Cell Biology while Craig, also a first year student,  is studying for a degree in Creative Digital Media in IT Blanchardstown.

The presentation was held in the Guinness Storehouse in St James Gate and was attended by family and friends of both students. Mr Blanchfield, the Principal of St Paul’s CBS, and Mr McCormack, Guidance Counsellor, were also in attendance. In accepting their awards both Ray and Craig expressed their thanks to Guinness Diageo. They also thanked their respective families for their support as well as offering their appreciation to the staff of  Brunner.

We wish them well in their studies and look forward to receiving their graduation photographs!

  1. Me and Craig would have never had the opportunity of receiving this award if it was not for the utter dedication of the staff of St. Pauls. I cannot express how appreciative I am to the school for not only giving me an incredible, fun education , but for the many invaluable life lessons I have learned. This school made me a much better person and made me believe in myself, and one day I hope to be able to repay this debt.

    Ray:)
