Bord Gáis Energy’s Junior Achievement in Brunner

The students of 3 Leinster would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Joe Walsh of Bord Gáis Energy for the time, energy and generosity he showed throughout his delivery of the Junior Achievement programme in St Paul’s CBS. As he delivered each section of the programme his knowledge and enthusiasm were clearly evident and he successfully encouraged the students to engage with the course content.

For the final part of the programme Joe invited the students to his company’s offices where, besides having further opportunity to avail of Joe’s insights and wisdom, they also had the opportunity to meet with renowned Dublin footballer and hurler David Henry. David, who is a qualified primary school teacher spoke to the students about the study and career path that he has taken as well as the commitment it takes to play Gaelic games at inter-county level. Although it does involve huge sacrifices on the part of the players he said that the rewards gained through friendships forged and memories made make it all worthwhile. Joe organised a  prize draw for the students with the main prize being a Dublin jersey signed by the county’s Gaelic foootball squad.

Thanks to all at Junior Achievement for their work and involvement with St Paul’s CBS. Thanks also to Bord Gáis Energy and in particular thanks again to Joe. We’d be delighted to have you back in Brunner for future programmes!
