Two of our students, Stephen and Christopher, wrote the following poem in memory of and as a tribute to Nelson Mandela. May he rest in peace.
Triumph
I’ve learned that courage was not the absence of fear…
but the triumph over it,
Oh God my dear
Nelson Mandela died at 95
Fought for black rights until he died
An icon, a legend, a saviour for the nation
Let’s come join our hands as one congregation
Courage never lacks the heart of a father
Nelson or a tyrant – which one would you rather?
Died at 95 and still he is great
Thanks for everything
Love you mate….
