5th Year students ‘Dragon’s Den’ Projects

Dragons-DenAs part of our Business in the Community partnership with Cornmarket Insurance a group of our 5th year students took part in a Dragons’ Den style project. The students were divided into three groups and had to devise and market a product that would fit in with the Cornmarket brand and target market. The thought and planning that the students put into the project was very impressive and thanks must go to our Business teacher, Ms. O’Shaughnessy, who gave advice and guidance to the groups as they developed their ideas. The (gentle and very polite!) Dragons came from the Cornmarket Marketing Dept. and provided the students with feedback on their work. As a part of the project the students had to write and record radio advertisements and they can be listened to by clicking on the links here:

Great thanks must go once again to Rachel and all the staff at Cornmarket as well as to Breda and all at Business in the Community. They put a lot of work in to ensuring that the partnership is of great benefit to the students and to the school and we look forward to working with them again in the school year 2013/14.
